roflcopter mic

So I've updated some drivers of my pc ( audio, chipset, display, flashed BIOS with ASUS utility ), and now my mic is plain shit .. I need to shout until it records sth, and there's this annoying noise that keeps on going. Any ideas how this might have happened? Already searched a while on google, but nothing really helpful came up, I've been messing with Ts3 settings as well, but since the mic is equally shit on the Windows recording proggie, it looks like the problem is hardwarebased or sth with the audiosoftware :(
