It doesn't matter if it's subjected to regular (and mandatory) maintenance. Furthermore, the design might be from 1980, but as far as I know they have been producing new models until a few years ago.

But it is kinda funny that people care that much. I mean there is car crashes and other accidents every day around the world but no one cares, but when some known and popular people die everyone is so sad.

I don't see anything funny there, it's actually quite simple.. We don't care about the other accidents because we don't "know" them.

It's obvious that you would get sad if a person who has entertained you on some level dies, because he can no longer bring you joy. Personally I don't really care about that planecrash(no offense to anyone who does), because I haven't even heard of those players(well a few by name). If it was a Finnish player whom I've seen and enjoyed play, I'd get pretty sad.
