my post -"horrbile" and its plain truth isnt it?
if you like dressing up in black, wearing your hair long and "dance the pogo" (sry dont know if thats correct) you should stick up to that and not freak out once someone says exactly that but in a midly suggestive fashion. and i do get the idea that most of the people listening to that kind of music do (at least some of) those things.
well, my problem with ur post is that.
for me it sounds that ur saying everyone listening to that kind of music is exactly what u said:
black wearing, long haired guy who is afraid of water (feel like washing my self now)
its simply not like that.
me for example...im not having long hair, wearing black clothes only or neither am i afraid of water :D
its just what i said, its prejudice
and even if ur having long hair and wearing that black clothes ( for partys at the weekend for example) it still doesnt mean that this guy is a totaly freak. he coud be prolly a normal guy at work whos wearing a suit
i am really sorry but i do dislike your attitude.
people categorize, thats how the world works. maybe not all of them are like that but thats the average picture people have and that has its reasons. there is no need to go around and say "ohh every human being is soooo unique" cause that is half true and half bullshit. we do like to associate ourselves with groups, everyone does.
the only problem seems to be that the perceived public opinion of metal heads, judged by metal heads, is so bad that they always feel like defending themselves (cause it isnt mainstream, media covered enough maybe... well for whatever reason)
i never said that but still you read it into my words cause thats appears to be a weak point.
i hope you can understand what i mean: people have no problem wearing a slayer tshirt and a ponytail when they go out with their mates to "pogo dance" but as soon as an outsider mentions the obvious its being perceived as suggestive and offensive.
stick up to your guns and stand in for what you like/love/believe...
well, for me its all about that "i feel like washing myself now"
prolly i interpret to much in it. that sentence just sounds weird in my opinion.
i dont need to stick up for it or the "culture", neither i love it, cuz like i said before, im not one of the guys u mentioned. for me its just about the music, cuz i just like the skills these ppl need to have to do such kind of music. got friends on my own which are playing the guitar, or drums.
thats why i simply like to listen to that music. and thats my point, there are ppl out there who just care about the music, and nothing else
maybe i missunderstood u, but ur first two post sound for me like ur an ignorant person who's just saying that every1 who listen to this kind of music is a freak (im sorry, but in ur first to comments it sound like that for me)
and thats like i woud say, everyone whos listen to hip hop is an uneducated little kid who will stay unemployed for his entire life. just cuz they cant even speak the own language properly, like: "isch fick deine muddah du huansohn" u know? ;) but i guess we both know that it dont have to be true.
but anyway...i guess there is nothing more to add, and sorry if my english just sucked, got drunk ;) (and ye, im sitting in front of the pc cuz i already lost all my chips at our poker tourney :/...)
and btw. the main reason i posted that song was, that my brother is playing the guitar there...so i wanted some other opinions bout it, cuz i coudnt be objectiv
im actually a quite nice guy but i do express my opinion freely and as this community is all about blowing eachother many people cant appreciate it.
just funny to see that i never had anything to do with you whatsoever but you think its cool and adequate to hate.
man up
i think irony might be the wrong word as that implies intention.
if you cant face the truth and you easyly feel offended then you are prolly gonna dislike me.
when you can accept that the world works by humans thinking in categories and that mentioning those is not forcefuly an insult then you may actually have a nice time with me.
yes you people wear black and have long hair and your dance does involve violence but is that bad by deffinition? i used the word horrible to express that i can personally make nothing out of that but you felt offended enough to offend me back. so who thinks that this is something which needs justifying now?
be a strong personality and you wont have to whine about everything you may consider slight critisism.
