CS 1.6 IEM NY Quali LIVE!

IEM6 GC New York Qualification (CS 1.6)

8 teams have secured a spot for this final qualifier from two (1 & 2) previous qualifiers. THREE best teams will be qualified for Global Challenge from Europe and gets a chance to compete for 40000$ prizepool and for IEM Finals slots.
This tournament will be run Online in Single Elimination-mode and in Best of 3 Format. Semifinal winners will be automatically qualified so the "cup-final" wont be played. Semifinal losers will play a final game for 3rd slot.

- fnatic dsn announced retirement
- notable Friis left the squad and was replaced by ptn, also the squad found new home and joined Anexis
- ave from mTw announced retirement but is still helping his team after Friis-episode for this qualification.
- Friis was announced as a new mTw member but it turns up he rejected the offer just to join fnatic 10 days later.
- kalle from ESC is rumoured to be leaving, more changes probably coming up
- cLy left Hardware4u and has been seen to be helping mousesports with their online games. Also woodi and turkizh left H4U due personal conflicts.
- Frag eXecutors are rumoured to be in conflict with their orga due missed salaries and events.
- mixed reports are telling mTw are now after karrigan from mousesports but it turns out its too expensive for mTw to buy-out his existing contract - who will be the 5th in the end?
- WinFakt got an invite for IEM Guangzheu as Temporary and other US teams were not able to attend.
- Natus Vincere's reason for missing these New York qualifiers is that they have WCG Ukraine qualifications this same weekend.

WCG Ukraine is Live also. DTS won their semifinal game and proceeded to the final. The other semifinal between NaVi vs Kerchnet is on the 2nd map. Kerchnet won first map de_inferno 22-18. Kerchnet also won second map 16-11 and won 2-0 over Navi.
