help with processor and graphics

Does Intel processors work better with nvidia cards and amd processors with amd/ati vid cards?

For ex: i have ati radeon hd 5570 and i have options of i3 550 or amd phenom x4 955 which will be better?

Also, does ET work on six cores if doesnt thn does it work on quad cores?

I would go for phenom x4 955 with an option to upgrade processor in future.

Normally ET doesn't work even on 2 cores but I seen some programs some can do it work up to 8 cores? someone posted it on cf not so long time a go.

Performance?
Both processors got stock core speed 3.2 Ghz so not big deference in ET but I think you will fell more comfortable with 4cores in other tasks and new games :) so go for phenom

i3 550 is not recommended, though, for pure multi-threaded tasks, such as audio / video encoding, or 3D rendering, due to its higher price than more suitable AMD Athlon II X4 and Phenom II X4 CPUs.

amd quad cores aren't that good then the intel are. the intel quad cores has less ghz but they are stronger

AMD wil get warmer but its faster.

AMD is just looking at the speed.
Intel is just looking the other way

Actually AMD processors are better an investment for a gaming rig hence they cost less than Intel's products. Intel is ahead in every other way at the moment.
