Computer hacked

So Im lying in bed, my computer is on, next thing I know the mouse on my screen starts moving, mutes my sound, then opens poker stars and goes to cashier. So am I fucked ye? I tried to download a cracked version of poker tracker which I think could be the problem. I deleted it all apart from the folder itself, which contains an empty crack folder. When I try deleting it I get the error message "The action can't be completed because the folder or a file in it is open in another program", but nothing else is open.

Any ideas?

Will stuff I logged into previously be in trouble? Like bank details?

Will other computers connected to the same Internet be fucked also?

Im a fuckin noob when it comes to PC stuff, so any help is appreciated.

dont tell admin plz

Change passwords from a different, secure computer and format.
Does it matter that the other computer is using the same Internet connection?
Parent
It shouldn't in most cases, but you can run something like http://housecall.trendmicro.com/ on the other computer to be sure. Don't count on being able to remove the malware from your infected computer though, best bet is still a format. Don't forget to scan any external HDDs you have as well afterwards.

Yeah change all passwords and get security on both. My steam password got hacked on my PC few months back they even got passed steam guard somehow and I didnt even recieve any emails about a new PC.

So I was playing mw2 in game and all of a sudden I got logged out saying account logged in elsewere. So in the end I changed passwords all of them as my facebook got hacked to.

Then like few days later the same happend to my dad with his steam account he got hacked and password got changed etc.

It can happen on any PC with same network.

We live in same house and use same internet with password.

oh please, your just trying to annoy me now. Do you not remember the whole kik_aim fandango? Ask neille or whatever that admins name is, oh wait, aren't you the admin that un - banned me? Go on, help me. Unbanned me i meant

it's possible that other computers that are on LAN (not wireless) might be infected if you have an advanced rootkit installed but i'd assume that isn't the case

first thing i'd do if i thought my security really was compromised is get in touch with my bank and ask them to flag my accounts for suspicious transactions

don't put too much faith in software firewalls they're better than nothing but you really want a hardware one as well, ofc that's useless if you are stupid enough to install random software designed to open your system to attacks

i remember grim fandango

reboot in safemode, you'll be able to delete the folder most likely, if it says you can't delete it because it's open atm; you have a pretty strong suspect for your security breach
Parent
Cheers, when you say (not wireless), why is this not the case? The laptop in my house is wirelss. Can I consider my parents laptop safe?
Parent
there is security on wireless lan but not on wired because it's presumed to be safe

Flushje,

From an independent Computer. (One that is 1000000000000 percent clean)

Change ALL your passwords. Start with your main ones, Bank, email etc etc.

The hacker remotely connected to you, which means your computer security is a total joke.

invest in a firewall (decent anti-viruses have them as standard) and for the love of god don't be so stupid to try cracked shit without getting it from a source you trust. (Like a computer savvi mate)

The other PC on the network could be infected, some viruses could spread via network ports iirc.

When that sort of shit happens in the future, disconnect the PC from the internet asap as the hacker has remote access to your computer.
this

besides - you(jinx) might want to watch some vids of "sempervideo" on youtube, about metasploit; some fancy mechanisms that prog ist offering (so much for software firewalls and antivirus progs :P)

and what source that offers cracked stuff do you value as trustworthy? xD
(actually there are a few groups i think that are, offering stuff on certain sites...point taken^^)

besides the usual more advanced trojan disables your antivirus and firewall anyway, so no point in having too much trust in that one after your pc's been compromised ;)

I remember years ago actually back in the end I was playing et, and my mouse was moving on its own rofl, and it started typing like random letters to was well mad tbh. all the buttons was getting pressed.

But change all your passwords its quite bad a hacker could connect to your PC.
Pokertracker 3 / Hold'em Manager isn't that expensive yo :P worth the investment..

you can probably also get em for free with some rake package somewhere :)
Download Malwarebytes.
Update Malwarebytes.
Do Normal scan in Malwarebytes (Not quick scan)
Delete infected or malicious items

Seems like you have some kind of RAT on your computer.

Do not change passwords from your current computer because RATs usually include keylogger as well. Go to 100% secure computer and change them there, would like to run virus scan on that PC too.

If that still happens after scanning with Malwarebytes and with your Antivirus (Remember to update boths databases to be sure it can detect new threats as well!) the only way that is sure to remove the threat is formatting your PC. Hopefully you don't need to do it.

Hope this helps
Hey, I honestly do think the problem was related to the poker tracker file I downloaded. It wouldnt let me delete it initially, but after running spy bot and virus scan and restarting, it deleted fine. I'm still really worried its infected though. Ill get malwarebytes when I'm home. After running spybot and virus scan, after rebooting I get an error message similar to the one below http://forums.techguy.org/attachments/155981d1252484594/screenshot.jpg

Any ideas on this one?

Im a complete nooby on PC's is a format the same as a restore?
Parent
Just run a normal scan with malwarebytes (it takes ~20 minutes for me, maybe more for you if you have more files, REMEMBER TO UPDATE IT BEFORE SCANNING). If it doesn't detect anything your computer should be clean, if it detects it delete the infected files.

Also, you said you have ran already a virus scan? Which objects were infected? Can they be connected to poker tracker anyway (were the infected file in same folder as it was or was the name anything that could tell you it was from poker tracker).

About format. Before you format you want to make sure get all important files on some USB-stick or external harddrive because after format there is no way to get those files back once you have done formatting.(OK, there is but it is fucking compilcated and you can't do it by yourself) If you still suspect that your computer is infected after running virus scans and malwarebytes the only way to get 100% rid of viruses and other threats is formatting.
To format you need a O/S installation CD. For Windows 7 you need to just put your CD in while starting your computer, with XP I don't really remember how it worked, I recommend to check that one from google since it is little more complicated.

Hey man, I used malware, took over an hour but found 26+ infected things, including 3 trojans. I've deleted them now, I have also deleted all other downloaded files from yesterday and also used AVZ which found nothing really. Do you think Im safe?! :p I did it on my mums laptop too, it found some adwere from cloths sites and stuff but nothing major from what I can tell.
Parent
I think you should be safe for now. Altough if you see this happening again (Someone moving your mouse) and your virus scanners and Malwarebytes don't find anything you should do format.

Remember to keep your virus protection up-to-date and remember to scan your computer time to time.
Parent
Cheers, Im almost sure it worked, but I did a system restore just incase :p
Parent
enjoyed watching your cashier np
remember when i was playing cs 1.6 some faggot joined the server and my cd rom started opening/closing, that happened to all the people on the server
lol ok now thats funny haha
Parent
There was an exploit on CS 1.6 which allowed admin of CS server to install mod to your server. Through it you were able to control other players CD rom.
Parent
format the computer immediately you dont know where other trojans may be put it.
change all your passwords EVERYWHERE it matters right NOW!
disconnect from internet when you format!
turn off teamviewer.
what HIRVI said + run a scan with Hitman Pro, AVZ, Dr.Web CureIT
