just got it, damn they need to do a patch fast...

graphics are pretty nice, but they are "pre-loading" everytime you do a fast turn, so they go from "pixels to normal graphic"s and its noticeable and retarded, fuck why can't any developer team make a game normal without patches.

yeah everyone on TL crying that its borderlands #2 with bugged gfx and 9h singleplayer

tho i heard from console nerds that its 9 hour gameplay, but whats the difference

18,5gb for 9 hour gameplay :D

It's the textures taking up all that space, they had some fancy new texture tech that guaranteed each texture to be unique or something. I heard the textures are over 100GB uncompressed.

Besides, isn't it a sandbox game? It's not like other games of that sort have had very long main questlines.

I wouldn't blame it all on iD Software alone. Modern video card manufacturers aren't famous for their OpenGL support (*especially* not AMD/ATi), and the engine is OpenGL. Sure some of it could be iD's fault, but it's not really up to them to create good OpenGL drivers for AMD.
Any of you remember the awesome texture quality in some OpenGL renderers (eg. ET's) with AMD's driver versions 10.5->10.8 or so last summer? Could've gone on for longer, too. That wasn't the game makers' fault either.

Then again there really is no excuse for not including video settings.

It's as advanced as the developer is.
And OpenGL's in active development, so it's not really abandoned either. It's pretty much on par with D3D feature-wise, as far as I know.

Ah yeah, I looked into it and seems like it's not actually the file that's infected: instead, the site has made itself onto several public lists of malware sites.

ye It's a swedish uploading site with direct links, you could essentially upload any filetype.. (.exe's etc) so I guess a lot of antiviruses have chosen to block it.

can't believe how many flashbacks this photo gave to me :').

I can still remember when we were just about as old as those guys on the picture and slow dance like that at the 4th-6th grade discos :). oh the feeling when a girl asked u to come and dance. ofcourse I asked a few girls to dance with me too. but as everyone knows, girls hit puberty and "grow up" faster than the boys so it's a harder task for a boy to ask a girl than girl to ask a boy to dance. At least on the start girls mostly asked guys to dance and later on the other way around (mostly). :)

yeah i was buying it with 700kbs for like 9 hours


well i liked borderlands aswell even playing SOLO (and i did yes), about RAGE..

i can't really say, i've completed only first mission in bandits mansion and i wasn't so much surprised about the physics of enemies(they fly after the granades and fall after bullet shots pretty nice) -> corpses dissapear(big fail when you go back and nothing is there), blood (im a gore fan) stays on walls for like 5 sec and dissapears, nades are fun, it's hard to say now

ill complete few more missions and say is it worth buying(:D) or not.

so... ive been playing it for an hour or two now, just finished the "tutorial" and got to the second quest hub (wellsprings or something like it). i am a complitionist in those kinda games so i did check every corner and i did go back to all the places id already been to once i got the lock grinder, it does not disappoint in that aspect.
i do really enjoy the setting. some might call it borderlandish i call it post apocalyptic steampunk, love it.
Really am enjoying it atm

Borderlands also had the preloading system for textures, but to a lower degree. Even it the singleplayer is 8-9h it will probably be some enjoyable hours. Definitely going to play this. I really like the concept and the style of the game so far.
