a big one
I bought the Panasonic TX40S10E and love it..

Plasma > LCD

You can't really do much wrong with LG & Panasonic
i heard plasma is good for games ?? (ps3 etc.) but i only got a PC. so i guess i wont play that much...

and LED(>LCD) is better than plasma? or whats the difference?

Plasma and LED LCD dont differ that much anymore (eventhough plasma has better blacks while LCDs have better colors IMO). I would go to mediamarkt and check them out myself since their colors are very subjective (some people like the natural look others like the "always-movie-high-polish"-look). other than that, if you have a window through which sunlight can directly shine onto your tv you are better off with a plasma (since they got no reflecting glass panel infront of the actual tv panel) otherwise you can choose yourself.
Plasma: Panasonic
LED/LCD: Samsung

finally someone who isn't running around and saying LCD IS TZE BEST !

and going to the mediamarkt for checking the tv's can be tricky.. they often set the colours on some tv worse and others better.. so that they can sell one typ of TV's easier than the others (worked while school at conrad electronic and they did that :P). So ask them if you can have the remote and play around with the colour settings. Also dont forget that the lightning might be completely different in your room.

games-TV

LOL!
I have a Sony 40" TV, and it's been working fine. It's quite expensive but you should consider it.
Got a Samsung Smart 3D 50" in the living room, and a Bravia 40" in my room. Both are great!

I would always recommend a Sony!

But take a look at http://www.hdtvtest.co.uk/ - Always a good place to check for TVs!
