Hello crossfire.
Now that I have like tons of time (being lazy at uni and my week goes from Mon to Wed), I want to play different games. Already playing Quakelive and Team Fortress 2, and seeing that the price on Counter Strike (this game has always fascinated me) 1.6 and Source is below 20 bucks, well I want to try one of them out.
My question to you people is, which one is better? US10 for 1.6 and US20 for Source. In your opinions (very valuable to a noob like me), which one is worth best for the money? I could always use san Google but oh well, YOU ARE THE GAMERS!
Thank you very much for your time and take a girl in return.

CSS is to easy imo
CSS is easier to pickup, more fun as a casual and generally a better all round experience unless you planned to play very high level competition.
but since you're going to play for fun, CSS is better. Then you will be able to play Promod, which is closer to 1.6.
And as IceQ said, you don't need to play for hours and hours to get hs on CSS.
source is more mainstream
e: great an automatic-hidefunction made by the admins :D
