need help, pc booting

So, my girlfriend's got a notebook and it wont boot anymore

getting this screen:

image: post-269402-1226927483

(hitting enter, escape, whatever, nothing works, except when hitting f10 getting some shitty menu like below)

image: 664D9251-163B-120E-CE8070B46DB6F759
(random image, dunno what's in her list though)

already tried google and microsoft site, but haven't found anything except to boot the pc into safe mode

which leads to the next problem, when she hit's the f8 button to get advanced booting option shit, nothing happens, so basically she always gets stuck on this screen.

Also, can't use a software cd since you cannot put any cd's in it :D

anyone got a solution? thanks.

Make a bootable USB device or borrow an external USB DVD drive and put in Windows CD.

Then follow this:

If you get really really stuck, download or buy the Ubuntu disc from their site. With Ubuntu you can boot up from disc or a USB device and save files that you want from the hard disk.
Your harddisk is broken
why did u post the pic with cd when she cant use cd?! i dont get it. w/e seems broken all!
there is a program, called "ERD Commander" download it and put in on a usb stick. Boot from usb stick and do a system recovery. If this doesnt work, u should check ur hardware.
try hirens boot cd?
System restore helps.. and what the heck u doing at BIOS...-.-
The first boot up device must be HDD,second one CD...
