Sony Vegas problemm

I'm editing with Sony Vegas and it decided to make some clips "red" saying Media Offline

When I put those clips there everything was fine and video worked, now just sound's working and video is black (during those red parts)

your files are broken
not using external hard disk? it can cause the problem if you locate your files in it

Files work just fine and they're on my main hdd

not renamed no nothing?

Had this problem too with vegas 7 some years ago, dont know what the problem was either.
The way i solved it was to re-add the films but that could take too much time, hope you can find a solution somewhere!

It works if I delete those clips and re-add them, thanks.. though cba to cut those again now :d

yeah kinda sucks, if i were you just wait and check around on google. must be some easier solution for it:P

right click your file in Project media and hit replace then relocate it

not sure if it will work though

ye, had it too... Its just weird vegas error, I just saved the project and reopen, that might help

either the path towards the video has changed and you need to reloacate it as IceQ said
Or the video file its self is broken , that means you have to re-record that video footage

Had that often, sometime with rebooting vegas it worked.

Had also that when i formated but saved avi files ( red screen and unable to load all of them ) so i had to record again :D

video offline = path isnt the same, connect the video to the right path = insta win :D

whenever they do that just save and reboot, saves a whole bunch of work from you

redid some my movies a couple of times before i tried that D; just a weird bug

sometime it says vid offline when loading, works good afetr
also, offline means that u changed the directory of the file ur working with
