hai cf ;)

well i dont want recoomendations for a new computer, since i got mine for 7 days now :D

but i just discovered a problem with my brightness.

until today everything was fine, but when i booted it this afternoon, my brightness was suddenly gone.

my whole screen is sort of dark, i just rebootet after installing some windows updates, and it was fine for about 5 secs, then it turned dark again :(

anybody knows what to do?

since google only gave out forum posts for people having brightness probs with their built in laptopscreens :(


e: system recovery worked, eventhough the recovery points said, i installed only windows updates since then :s didnt even notice :D

adjust it with button on your screen? or in ati/nvidea settings?

didnt change my monitor, and it says 100% brightness, as always

and i have an nvidia gtx560

yes, since i moved from unisersity, to my parents

just checked all cables :(

dont think its the drivers or the cables, since it works after i reboot, but then after about 5 secs it turns grey/dark again :((

its like like a bit foggy :/

have it aswell sometimes that the screen is a bit darker.

Control Panel > Appearance and Personalization > Display > Calibrate Colour > Then some window pops up, keep clicking next and then another window pops up and just keep clicking next there aswell. Works for me

(re)install newest drivers and check if the cable is plugged in correctly.

somehow dont think its the drivers, since it works after startup, for around 5 secs :s

well, since it worked til this afternoon, i dont think its the parts, but as i edited my topic, i made a system recovery to were i knew it was working

and tadaaa it worked, the system recovery said, i only installed windows update since then, but ye, ill see, just re-installing them, if they fuck it again, ill keep them off my system ;)

well isnt days, it worked at my university this afternoon til i shut it down at around 3pm

drove to my parents, booted around 6.30 pm, and around 7pm i recognized it, or better it started to piss me off ;)

working now, re-installed atleast some of the updates, still working atm, hope it stays like that ;)

had ati/amd before ;) was working fine for 5 years, but now i got intel/nvidia, i dont really care, which combination i use :D

I am using AMD now for like my whole life and i never had problems with it.
When i see on CF a PC Problem its always Intel/Nvidia.
Only what ATI has is bugs in the driver but if your smart you will search for the Hotfix "Model driver" & its fixed.

ye, ati driver was fucked up on my old computer, but the system was working just fine, for its age (5 yrs, single core cpu and shit)

we'll see how it goes now, guess today i just missed something i installed or shit, but in the end, it had nothing to do with cpu/gfx

logen 64 bit, 32bit supported net mehr als 4gb ;D (könnten auch 8 gb sein, aber glaube 4)

und naja jede menge freizeit am nachmittag nach arbeit, abe rscheiss inet--> moviemaking :D naja ich fang die tage wieder an, mal sehn wie weit die motivation reicht xD

naja, ram kostet eh kaum geld, da hab ihc mir gedacht, wenns schon nen neuen gibt, dann wenigstens ram, und fürs video editing is es schon ok :D

do you use any minimzer's for games?

i get that brightness problem sometimes, then i just reset the settings on "minimizor"
