i would call cod4 a faster CS but i do hate those monotone colors of maps and models. Its like everything on the map is greenish and also the gamemodels are green... cant see shit.
also gameplay is close to CS with alot of tactical camp and sniping and such..

Prolly TF2 is close to et but afaik also not really, what we would call "alive".
cant comment bf3 but i highly guess its not any different to the other past bf series which is huuuuge maps (etqw maps are tiny in comparison) and... i dunno... i once watched a showmatch between the 2 best clans of bf on gigatv and i was like... wtf is that crap... there is less action than in professional chess..

prolly go for LoL since its addictive, active, got a whole lot of champs to explore and to master and half of the et community is playing it. and even if u suck hard at the beginning its pretty beginnerfriendly and youre gonna get into it quite fast.
