french gameserver (ovh)

Anyone has an ET gameserver hostet at some root/vps at OVH ? Normally my ping sucks on them (and according to this speed test: http://proof.ovh.net/ my ping is 178 :S) so I would like to try it out before buying there.

Also: Anyone knows how strict the warez downloading policies are in france? Planing on using a VPN 99% of the time (which would be on the french server hosted by OVH).

yes normally for me too.. but the epic server is located in france too and I can't really complain about it.

Yes.. that's why I ask for opinions about OVH (or best would be a server ip so I can try it out myself :P). Their prices are just awesome.. and their reputation seems to be very good as well. Support is very fast too.

i think i bought a swedish ovh once, but that was for seedbox purpose :)

all their servers are in france.. however, you can have a swedish/german/uk/nl/polish ip :P

Seedbox for warez stuff? How long did u use it? Any troubles (because of the warez :D) ?

yeah to boost my stats on private trackers, since my ul speed is shit! yeah excellent service! uploaded 1,5tb in 10days, that was the max upload limit back then, and had it for a month, for 15 pounds

if you plan to upload more thought, i suggest you get an evobox

no its not about a seedbox at all.. but when using it as VPN I might download warez from time to time via my browser.

the Austrian internet connection to french hosting companys usually pass slow sections

Thats exactly my problem :S However, the french et-server of "epic-esports" is just fine for me.. and also OVH gave me some IP with I could ping with 33ms. But then I did the speedest ( http://proof.ovh.net/ ) and had 170+ ms :/

OVH is trustworthy to be honest. It's a well known company in France. I guess you shouldn't have any problems with it.

Yep yep.. my only concern is the speed. The epic server isn't hosted at OVH right? You got anyone who could give me some IP for an Gameserver hostet at OVH? :P
