internetz in Czech Republic 2

As you probably read in my previous journal (http://www.crossfire.nu/?x=journal&mode=item&id=135647), my provider was not able to help me. But obviously, he was thinking and decided to change it. And with motto "the more, the better".

Maximum value I've seen today was 3502. I think they still have some reserves.
Still considering which provider we should choose now.

I hate people whining about their internet speed, I'm on fucking 2mb/0,2mb try to beat that.
you are talking about something completely different, but ok.
Parent
You've always lagged when I played you, thats really nothing new.
Parent
Lagging? You mean warping!
Parent
I have "fast" net, 26Mb/s, so thats not the problem. I am not complaining about that. got it?
Parent
Yes smartass, but thats not what I was saying in my second sentence, is it? Learn close reading or at least think about what my sentence could mean. I'll clearify it for you. By saying "you have always lagged" I indicate that you have always had 'ping problems' (I'll write it rookie style for you), I'm not saying you got slow internet, as this doesnt have to do anything with you being a lagger, I just pointed out you were always warping.

On topic: Open the console again and type in "tracert www.YourProvidersWebsite.xx" this way you can see where the pinghops take place during your routing process.

I've done a routetrace to google just to show you how it should look like: image: tracertm

As you can see the ping doesnt really differ from each other at every trace and this is how your routing should possibly also look like. The first trace is always your router which should always be 1 1 1, unless you got a SpeedTouch modem like me. ;) Second row is my Providers access point, so you can clearly see where the pingjumps take place.

Personally I'd highly advice you to test another modem/router at your connection, if your provider really tells you that everything should be perfectly fine with your connection, as its the most common thing for such lags unless you got a virus/trojan.
