This is how I see things, my honest opinion and I am very curious to see if people agree with me:
Honestly I can't imagine any pure hip-hop/rap music in ET (unless it becomes a very well exloited theme like pimps, gangsta and shit or dunno something creative and cheeky), cause ET is set in WWII and is a computer game. So just by that, the mood you can set are like: epic instrumental/soundtrack/x ray dog music or electronic music. ET is not GTA. And I cant see how pure Rap can be associated with ET.
But then you see alot of rock music in fps games, cause rock is easily associable with action (been like that in movies for decades).
Classical style music is very difficult to imagine, and I have always wanted to try, only example I have is fredd's Elegie which I m glad he did because it's one of my favorite ET clips. And only lettu knows the secret on how to put raggae(?) in ET clips ;D.
Now to come back to hip-hop, I can imagine movies with it if it's like very exciting or hybrid (rap on some alternative rock or with a heavy electronic/instrumental beat behind for instance). But i dont consider that pure hip-hop/rap.
So all I can say is, if you use hip-hop/rap in an ET vid, be careful or indifferent to whine.
Rap could fit very well some urban actions, knife frags etc.
But imo when a moviemakers try to fit et to rap then it suck, but when moviemaker try to fit rap to et then it may be really enjoyable but depends on track he used.
Ya true, you can use Rap with comical frags or peculiar frags, comical for instance, in knö or die it's a bit like that, but M.O.P. is kinda peculiar with good electronical/hip-hop/instrumental beat behind. And the whole movie has very unique and kinda comical songs throughout. I'd say it fits well there idd.
