Heading to Germany

Next wednesday, 16th on november that is.

Wednesday to Friday at Frankfurt, friday to sunday at Saarbrücken & nearby.

But then, sunday to wednesday, got no plans yet. Is there anything interesting nearby (~300km)? Have to head back to Frankfurt for flights at wednesday. Cologne has been one of the options, but havent booked anything yet. Some good football-match would be a plus, cant make it to Leverkusens CL-game since we have to be flying back at the same time :((( Actually, it doesnt even have to be "good", anything beats these so called matches here at Finland Finland.

Would be a plus if there were some cheap hostel or hotel nearby, maybe even someone to guide us and get drunk with me and my friend. Thanks!

And it is almost weekend! Might be even today, not sure yet if I got work tomorrow. You got any plans?

I am accomodating few Poland girls at least for next night. Then there is this gig, Finland Kursk playing fri & sat, will go today if I have the day off, join me if you are hereby :)

Here, have a taste.

heya,

what are you actually interested in, besides getting drunk? sight seeing or anything?
I think you could go to heidelberg, at least all american and japanese tourists go there. there is a castle and nice old town and shizzle. but that's something you can within like 2 hours - not really 3-day worthy... I guess cologne is the better choice.

Well, not a huge fan of sights, but ofc there should be something else to do than drink :) At least at mornings. I am not that picky, basically anything goes.

saarbrücken is the perfect choice then, no sights what so ever :D it's a village pretty much but has a few small clubs and bars and pubs.
btw, you could also check out saarlouis, actually quite as saarbrücken, only a bit smaller and cleaner, nice old town with 50 pubs. only 20 minutes with train, worth a half day trip!
Parent
That is one of the worst and most stupid pictures I have ever seen.
Parent
are you sure about that?
Parent
I'm still one hundred percent sure of that.
Parent
what about now?
Parent
Oh wow, what do you know, I magically changed my mind!
Parent
I wouldn't go, since yesterday there are some riots going on.. In cologne they already burned some mosque down, inb4 ww3
No worries then! I am used to those.

This is from previous trip, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dZce0sgyZBo

:P

Why don't you go check out France?
Parent
Been there twice + no time at this trip.
Parent
But for 300 km travel wut :D
Parent
No Berlin&Cologne, no win.
Atleast twice as good as Frankfurt, seriously.
Parent
Berlin is too far for this time. Have to check it and east-Germany some other time.
Parent
Counting Berlin to eastern Germany, could cause you death here :D:D:D..
No just kidding.. but.. don't do that again :x!
Parent
Berlin AND east-Germany. READ!
Parent
Don't set it in relation to each other, could cause you death here :D:D:D..
No just kidding.. but.. don't do that again :x!
Parent
Russia Kursk ? =)
Yea, named after it.
Parent
OH YEAH THOMM IN GERMANY YEAH
Take the weekend off and head to the bd-tax-meeting @mobo-brück.
Parent
cologne is always worth a visit at least if you havent been there already football would be there at saturday but since you can't be there before sunday i guess thats not a option :D

beside that there are a lot of quality clubs and pubs in cologne so getting drunk shouldnt be too hard

munich is 390km away from frankfurt you could get there within 3h tho munich is worth a visit aswell same goes for berlin and hamburg

i am living my whole live in germany and havent even thought about going to saarbrücken what are you doing there anyways ffs? :D
To drink with few internet-heroes. Also, it is near http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Thomm
Parent
alrite i would wanna visit a municipality named after me aswell :D

well you could go to stuttgart aswell (which is around 200km from frankfurt) there you would have some football on sunday not the best match the bundesliga has to offer that weekend but you might see a few goals there it is also nice to visit not sure if its worth to go there for 3 days tho but since you arent much into sight seeing it is probably one of the better options considering your limitation to 300km
Parent
Hmm, will seriously concider Stuttgart. Have to consult buddy about it.
Parent
SAARBRÜCKEN = WIN

UNDERSTAND?
Parent
:D was wondering how long it would take untill one of "internet-heroes" he mentioned would respond

around 15min is alrite i guess considering your age :P

19.11.2011 15:30 M'gladbach : SV Werder Bremen (Bundesliga 4th vs 3rd)

you can sleep with carla or gungy!?
Staying at Gungys place for first two nights. And that match is a no-can-do, we are at Saarbück at that day.
Parent
oh, sry, didn't read properly..
heidelberg is a nice city, but guess not for that many days and it's not rly on the way to cologne if you choose to go there
Parent
actually it is pretty much. if you travel to cologne with train, you will take the route over mannheim cause its much faster than the bimmelbahn over trier/koblenz. unless he wants to visit Germany Thomm - then trier would be best choice.
Parent
bin da nie bahn gefahren :)
Parent
What is a trier? And bimmelbahn?
Parent
Germany Trier ist a town near Germany Thomm

and a bimmelbahn is a slow train
Parent
Can I drink at german trains? Normal or bimmelbahn?
Parent
good question... there were discussions about it lately, but afaik its allowed to drink as long as you dont go bezerk... anyway, bimmelbahn and normal bahn are same kind of thing, the track straight from us to north is not good though, they're not able to go fast, and there is no ICE
Parent

Parent

Parent
