a Wii is great with friends. I own both a Wii and an Xbox 360 (my bro's tbf) and I'd rather play Wii with 4 people than xbox

it's nothing like PS3/Xbox, the games are totally different. I don't have that crap like Wii board or w/e it's called to do fitness. But playing Wii Sports (Resort); Mario Kart Wii and others with friends with some drinks is great fun

i've never had a PS3, played xbox 360 alot and it's totally different ofcourse.. Wii games (with exception of Zelda games) are meant to play with more than 1 person, that's when the fun starts imo

there are cool "core" games actually (me nerd has xbox360, wii and ps3). bought my wii really cheap, playing games like silent hill, goldeneye, okami, monster hunter tri and such.
