laptop res problem

trying to fix et @ my friends laptop and cant set the resolution of the screen so i wont get black bars @ both sides. current res is 1366x768, if i set r_mode -1 and vidrestart ill get an opengl error and et will close;/ any solutions?

in autoexec, launch game, if you are in menu just push Alt + Enter to get fullscreen :)

done and it crushes et, opengl error...

To fix this go to your graphics card manufacturer’s website and download drivers (or install them off the install disk that comes with the hardware). This commonly occurs when windows XP standard drivers are used.

This error can also occur if you have a wrong video mode for your system (monitor). I.e. a resolution of 1280x1024 won't work with a 1280x800 TFT.

fixed dunno how -_- r_mode -1 worked all of a sudden 0.0
