dota 2 = dota 1, but you have more heroes atm + I have more fps there :P ofc u have that dc protection, but in dota 1 u've got gproxy and stuff to deal with it. btw there are no huge updates, just 1 map to download and you are ready to go.
Well , because ET is dying , there are no gathers, no estonian public servers , its boring.Also playing for clan was not fun anymore , more like ah i just play cause it's shit weather outside and i have nothing better to do.So i moved to LoL where i can play with friend and i enjoy playing it.

I don't know.. perhaps because there are (too) many flaming nerds in FPS? I used to played a lot of Alarmstufe Rot2, Tiberian Sun, Age of Empires etc. but I just don't like those e-sport titles.
it depends, if you play on random game then garena on normal rooms/eurobattlenet it sux. I played on darer, normal bnet and it's far better. Or just play with few of your friends premade anywhere ;-)
bnet is quite fast,normally my ping on fps games is 70-100 only eurobattle net where my ping is 32 etc :p and there are alot of good players but also alot of bad players mostly turkish players.. perhaps RGC could be the best place to play with pros.
