ET freezing help please.

I was wondering if anybody could help me with an ET problem.
I have recently reinstalled after a rebuild, got the game patched up, working ect but it keeps freezing for 0.2secs every 1.5seconds or so (even in title screen, as spec ect).
I'm using Windows 7 64-bit.
Used Compability mode to XP, run as Admin, set one core to infinity (if that makes any difference) etc, and still have the same problem, any help would be appreciated if possible :)

I would say the core thing, but you covered that. Maybe its gfx driver related?

I have tried an older version of gfx driver and gone back to the latest as that didnt help. I have looked around a few forums and it seems to be quite a common problem with a lot of users but the only help thats been suggested is the ''Use Compability mode to XP, run as Admin, set one core to infinity'' and that doesnt seem to help the other users either. with x64 you don't need to do xp mode, run as admin and stuff.

maybe your graphic card ?

I tried as xp mode as a last resort, just to see if it fixed the problem. Cant see it being the gfx card as RtCW and a couple of other games run fine :)

and does it lag when u start it up with slac or without or both?

I dont have that installed, it has this problem even when I go and watch some thing on ETTV.

- computer specs? I suppose it should easily work fluently?
- set to performance in your driver?
- is it online and offline?
- do you use the right r_displayrefresh (this shouldn't be the problem but you never know)
- changed something in your display settings?

just some basic questions you can check

set to performance in your driver? not really sure what that means, oh, have every thing set below best, so should be fine with my specs I guess.
online and offline, it even happens in the title screen.

Tried with default plus one that I used to use before the rebuild, maybe I should look around for somebodys elses and give that a try ;)

I get the exact same problem without loading TZAC when i go with tzac it doesnt freeze

Same shit with my PC for a long time :/ It happen online/offline, with/without default config, before and after reinstall OS (win 7 pro 32/64bit and maybe on Win XP also but I dont remember), with GTX260 and GTX460, with ooooold and latest one drivers... I just dont get it wtf :/
