theres 8 books in the game of thrones series. im on book 7, and if the tv series keeps up like the books have, itll be totally fucking amazing.... if you can, read the books, so good :O

There will be 7 books and the latest book is #5 (A Dance With Dragons)

BUT here in Germany they split all the books up, so for every original book you have to buy two smaller books if you want to read it in German. Maybe they did something similar in Scotland :P
