I saw this earlier, its awesome. I loved the Wipeout games.
good ol' ps1 racing games

rollcage was good too
Parent
Was Rollcage the remote controlled car games? Wipeout was 50% of the reason I bought a PS2 (Played the original on PC), the other 50% was GTA!

Now its dead :`(
Parent

clicked play, read Japan Institute of Science and Technology and i was already impressed by the vid
To me, it just doesn't look real.
it is real. we had a similar experiment on our lesson at university
Parent
They don't seem to move as freely at the bit coming down the hill as if it had been 'after effected' in!
Parent
its pretty hard to explain but it has something to do with superconductors (high temperature i assume because they just use liquid Nitrogen which is pretty warm) and magnetism

e: funny thing is that i m having an exam about solid state physics tomorrow of which superconductivity is a big part... still its hard to explain how this exactly works
Parent
Haha, well good luck with that :D
Parent
"pretty warm" -196 °C
accortding to this its no wonder why i start heavy sweating when i go down to the fridge and move upstairs again!
Parent
-196°C is already a temperature for high temperature superconductivity.
common temperatures of normal akalimetals is around <10K
cooling down to such temps would require liquid helium and special cooling processes which is highly inefficient.
Parent
still im sweating when im gettin my beer :D
Parent
F-Zero was such a better game
