g400 is upgraded version of mx518 with higher polling rate, more DPI (also more DPI-levels) different cord (Still includes the mx518 cord problem tho).
Logitech have stopped producing MX518 and they produce now g400 instead.
i have zowie ec2 white or cm storm xornet , both have same Dpi settings, xornet has no prediction , it depends on the type of grip you use, i prefer xornet because of shape my settings don't change because specs are same :)
