what is the best internet for the uk to run from 2mb to 5mb shitty area moved into a house with two mates and need the net back sick of running my laptop of my iphone lol

Virgin media is pretty decent when it actually works, just 90 percent of the time they are fucking around with the connection in some way.

ith me it was terrible ;l pretty much all the time. every now and then i'd have solid download speeds but literally every game of ET I'd try to play would be so unstable that I couldn't play for like 10 months of 2011. :( when the virginmedia guy actually came over he told us there was no issue too, was pulling my hair out.

I had something like that at some point. Would have random millesecond breaks in the lagometer, was pretty shitty, but it went away.

I'd have extreme moments like that, where I totally lag out but most of the time for me it was something along the lines of respawning supply first stage, making it half way down caves and then coming back to reality and i was stuck on the caves entrance wall. _SO_BAD_ and I actually played an entire season in fall 2010 like that, just gave up most of 2011. lucky you that it disappeared mine was terrible for pretty much the whole time I had it 8(

Sky, been using it for years with no problems, I doubt you can just get internet on its own, probaby have to take the basic package, could be wrong though.

nah ur right fella, sky throttles you in peek times due to the high contention, had murder with them over it, and you need to have the basic package, then u still have too pay bt the line rental, bt would be best for him maybe

sean probs the best for a slow net like that might be BT ( hate to say that) but they dont throttle you and u kno what your getting, DO NOT go with anything like talktalk they are bullshit, im back playing a bit mate, when your back up n running gis a shout beasty boy, greetz xx

unlimited u can pick up cheaper than anywhere else, they own the lines mate and talktalk or others r unreliable and just shit service wise, how you gettin on with your batchelor pad then ? :)

If you're in a cabled area - Virgin Media cable - 100mb NP...

I'm assuming you're using ADSL, so it doesn't matter. You'll get the same speed whichever company, it uses the same BT line, and the distance is exactly the same. All they do is switch you over to their terminal, nothing physical.

So yes, any is the same. I'm with Virgin Media as I like their call package, and I was with them for years at my old property.

Now gone from 100mb cable to 0.010mb ADSL >.<.

Oh, you should Google BT Infinity first, they offer up to 40mb in non cabled areas. (not many areas have it). Our town has it enabled but not this street just yet..
