Got myself a new PC

Hey guys,

A little while ago I asked your opinion about buying a new pc. You thought it would be wiser to built one yourself for the best price/quality values.

With the help of NBS-hunter i set up this pc, i wanna hear your opinion about it.

Hopefully I can play HQ games on High w/o lagging now.

But like I already told you:

Basically the things different in my setup:

No F4, but F3 with 1.000gb HD
crosshair dominator 8GB, 20 euro cheaper than yours
Save on the motherboard, can do little cheapter, you dont need more.
The PSU of 600W from OCZ was same prize, but more power
Better case with better airflow

imo mine was lil better and costs less :)

Rest = Awesome

+ Buy GTX560 Ti in stead of GTX560. (Or go AMD, 6870/6950)

Well the PC is not crap, just some weird choses like the motherboard and ram, since you can get the same performance with 100€ motherboard and 40€ 8gb crosshair ram for example.

btw, why not reuse your old case, PSU, HDD & DVD drive ? makes your "new" pc atleast cheaper :)

Its not my pc, but tim's, the part's I suggested are at the end of the post. He will prob use his own case (but looking at overclocking i suggest him to buy a a good-airflow case). Rest is just becaus his PC is REALLY old, so nothing usefull. Maybe his dvd-drive, if he got one in it xD. +he got 500gb extern HD, so only 320 in his pc.

w8 met het kopen van een harde schijf, die zijn atm duur
ook kun je wel goedkoper ram kopen, voor 40 euro zit je goed

als je het systeem op www.tweakers.net samenstelt, berekenen ze waar je het goedkoopste alles vandaan kunt halen incl. verzendkosten

zonder die harde schijf en goedkopere mobo ben je voor € 738,95 euro incl verzendkosten klaar

It's good would rather buy a psu made by Seasonic/XFX ( both seasonic ) but Be Quiet! is a good brand.
And what voltage has the kingston hyperx? Try to make sure its not 1,65. Because sandybridge likes 1,6v or lower. 1,65 works but no reason to buy memory with 1,65 nowdays

You don't need 600 watt PSU. A 500 or even 450 is enough for that build. Also I doubt you'll be able to play the latest games on max settings with the 6800 series.

That psu is shit, the one you had before is much better
That OCZ is outdated and doesn't have that much power on 12V rail comparing to modern PSU's. And i agree with the person above me 500W is enough, even for a high overclock on that i5.

Also think about this. NVIDIA drivers are better in openGL games ( everything that is quake engine based ). If that is no problem, than AMD is fine.

And buy scythe mugen 2, is better than version 3.

XFX HD6870 dont get this shit :)

get something from nvidia for gaming :) ( 560ti is good and for same price i guess )
