Hi crossfire,
I recently (yesterday) bought a new computer, a windows.
I've been working with Mac the 3 past years, and there I didnt need a virusscanner.
So back to windows, I don't really know what's the 'best' virusscanner on the market now.
Is AVG still ok?
Thanks in advance

avg, avast and avira are good free replacements
immunet and panda cloud are great low system av's but not as safe as standard av, but still pretty great
thanks for the reply.
but as Kri said , with the growing Apple community you'll need one there soon as wel

Comodo Internet Security (free.. HIPS,AV,FW,Sandbox) + MBAM Pro (10$ lifetime license) and a few other things.
And there is more than enough malware for Mac OSX :) But how will you know about malware on your system if you don't have anything that looks for it? Besides that we live in 2012.. malware isn't supposed anymore to destroy your pc but simply get executed, steal your data and delete itself from your system (or hide).
And idd, you have a point there.
Never experienced any problems :)
so i advice you avast or avg
uses 12meg of resources & no popups.
Ive got AVG :)
Both are free, hope this helped:)
