tbh, I wondered so many times, why I am so much heavier than the others at my height. And I ofc it has to be some fat, but I don't know where it is located :)
When I will stop to nerd so much, then I will go back to boxing two times a week. Will do good I suppose!
But I more think, that life changes urself inside not the gym :)
If you actually follow a strict routine and want to see some gains (not your regular curl bros), you have to give it quite some dedication, which will affect other parts of your life.
From my own experience I can say that it affects your life in a positive way. You get more organized, dedicated and generally more open to new things and information. My grades in uni got a lot better and I actually do think that working out is the reason for it as it helps me to keep a balance in my life and let me stay focused.
I kinda stopped with all this gaming in 2009 and I surely noticed a positive effect on my grades and other stuff back then. However when I started the master studies (10/2010) and especially also started my workouts (4/2011) I noticed a much bigger boost regarding general dedication and concentration.
If you read bodybuilding forums or other sport forums you will notice that a lot of ppl made the exact same experience (not only regarding scores at uni/school).
doesnt this just means you got into shape condition wise? You make it sounds like working out is the magical way to gain this what sounds silly in my ears
it is a known fact, that doing sports besides top-heavy work (university) you will profit. Gaming however is also top-heavy itself so the profit from it should be minor and nevertheless, it is for most here an addiction.
