Single player games??

Hey Crossies,
the last few months I've enjoyed various single player games and started to love FPS with a nice story behind them.
So my question is, are there any nice FPS with a good story or at least great action behind them beside CoD, BF, Crysis?
Graphics dont need to be awesome but I would prefer games with 1-4 year old gfx over games with 5 year old gfx (or even older).
