Ifrit was my favourite beast from that ?God type... dont remember their name anymore. I played FF8 only, but it was an amazing game and the best I ve ever played. If there were a book i would read it for sure...

ff9 is definately not worse while ff7 was considered the best ff game for playstation one.

Yes, I got flamed many times by FF7 fans, most of people say it was the best, i dont know. Don't think I will ever try it, but the 8th game will be a good memory. Like some books I read back then
freedom as nice as it was, always gave me trouble to get back into the game after a little break -.- no idea where to go then as you had to run from one side of the world to the other ^^

it's gameplay mechanics might not be innovative, but it has a very unique feel to it. probably the best (j)rpg available for ps3 imo.
i will never understand why they can't just admit to themselves that the "new" combat-systems are killing the game. lost odyssey > X-2, XII, XIII & XIII-2
the turn based combat in lost odyssey resembles the fighting in FF's glory days. fans and press liked LO and people love FF7 to 10. as i said: i don't get why you would crash a series like that.
