netbook sound issue

Hello!

Recently I bought an Acer Aspire One netbook, just for schools and stuff. Today it started acting very weird. Whenever I run a movie or a music the sound starts lagging every 10secs, when I watch a video the picture also laggs. I thought it was a codec problem, but then I noticed when I turn the netbook on the windows loading sound also laggs same goes for the shutting down.

is there any solution for this?

I think an external soundcard should fix the issue, costs about 400€
around 400€ :D? I would buy I7 Processor + Motherboard for that cash.

HDD could be the problem there, or the latency within streaming from the kernel. My laptop had huge spikes of latency in streamings due to outdated/weird acting wireless drivers. Download this: http://www.thesycon.de/dpclat/dpclat.exe

Open, if everything keeps green then it's running like it should and most likely drivers are not the problem. If you notice spikes, specially red ones, try to figure out when those happen. I figured out mine when I would search for wireless connections.
i have random yellow spikes plus using fraps i have 125 fps while playing but sometimes i have several lags without any reason...most of the time spikes also wheni got shooted...SHIT laptopt ? :D

if there's no pattern to those yellow spikes it will be harder to figure out what's causing them, it could be the AV, driver, a device, perhaps even a service, anything really. it's a try and miss.

Thank you m8. Same goes for mine, whenever I am trying to find a wireless internet connection.

Try updating your wireless drivers, using Windows Update worked for me in that department, the ones from the support page for my laptop wouldn't work. Check the optional updates in Windows Update, assuming you are using W7. But still that might not solve your sound problem, so I would recommend checking your sound drivers as well: http://support.acer.com/us/en/default.aspx
Parent
No, I am using XP, because this little sweetie would be way to slow with W7.
Parent
you'll have to download the drivers from that website then.
Parent
Thanks once again :)

Reinstall soundcard driver.
Hopefully you still have a warranty for your laptop.
Remember to back up all your necessary files if you are making any changes!
