needing help on windows 7.

when i try put my config into my et folder is says

you dont have premission to save in this location.
contact adminatrator to obtain premission.

would you like to save in my documents instead?


how do i make the .txt into a cfg file its just not working :( x

It is sometimes kinda annoying to copy files, try copying them first to your desktop and then to ET-folder (works for me, no idea why).

And with cfg-files, save them as "any file type" instead of "text file", just name it with .cfg at the end.

I know this is kind of a work-around, but you could also rename the file in the explorer.

save as txt, give permission to yourself/everyone, save as cfg..

Do not use the default program folder in windows for games. It's evil.

You can try to disable UAC. Maybe Windows grants you the rights to save something in these folders then.

ETFolder -> right click -> properties -> security -> change the usersettings to full access ...

should work then, just change the things at properties, look around and ull find something like that! :)

Best thing to do is to install ET in your 'saved games' folder under C:/users/YOURNAME/savedgames

u have to save the cfg to some other folder, and then copy it back to etmain. After that u can change and save it in etmain without problems
