Gigabyte GeForce

Well, i strongly belive that bf3 will be the next god of the competitive gaming scene, like cs is today, but sadly right after my first connection to a server, i had like 20 or 30max fps, wich is really unplayable : )
so the only solution to it is obv to buy a new GFX, so what im trying to say/ask is,

does anyone play BF3 with Gigabyte GeForce GTX 550 Ti, 1 GB, PCI-E ,
or if anyone knows, will this card run bf3 properly ? : D

My pc atm

CPU: INTEL Pentium Dual-Core E6700 3.2Ghz
MotherBoard: MSI G41M-P28
Graphics: Gigabyte NVIDIA 210GT 512mb
Memory: ddr3 6gb

That should be more than enough to run on Medium-High if the rest of your hardware is on the same level.
yh, just updated the topic

the only shit thing about is, i will have to install windows 7 -.-

The CPU isn't going to like BF3 much and as such I'm not sure if it's going to be very playable.

I actually have that GFX, haven't tried it on BF tho.

Just ran Can You Run It and the bar reaches the P from the green "PASS" mark, which means it goes like 1cm over minimum.
I have the feeling these kind of online benchmarks only indicate you need to buy certain hardware from a certain vendor to "up your game" and/or base their comparisons on the "recommended" hardware for a game.

agreed

It says my gfx doesn't match because I have 4 GB DDR5 RAM instead of 1 GB

Better buy a new one then.

with a 560gtx u shouldn't have any problems with bf3 but the gfx drivers from nvidia made some problems at bf3 only in the 560series xD
get better cpu

bf3 is eating up dual cores from what I've heard
you should get cheap Q6600 or Q9xxx series to play bf3 properly with that GPU.
Or buy new cpu+mobo+mem
And your old GPU is pretty lowend, is your PSU able to handle a new GPU?
Be sure to take also at least a 750 watt PSU with that.
it needs only 400

gtx 460 runs the game smoooooooth, ofc overclocked as fuck.
This game never will be competitive
ur cpu is more important than ur graphic card in BF3
erwin, its the cpu. had a dualcore and about 10 fps max at bf3.

since I have 6-core, I didn't even bother looking up my fps :)
fml, so basicly i just threw 200euros out the window :D

i'd go for a 6870 / 6950 and then it will be playable (imo), but if you can also change the cpu, that could be verry cool for your fps. (something quad core [dunno if bf3 use 4 core] core2quad q6600 or higher)
Must say game runs pretty smooth with i7 2600k and 580gtx :)
