digital voice recorders

Does anyone here have any experience with digital voice recorders?

I need to conduct a rather lengthy interview (probably 1-2 hours) with someone for an assignment at school, so I was thinking about purchasing a digital voice recorder to make it easier for myself.

It should be fairly inexpensive (less than $100/~€75 would be nice) and digital (no casette tape bullshit).

Any ideas? Google hasn't been too helpful.

What phone do you have? Most phones these days already include a voice recorder, they do the job.

^this. Though, test it beforehand — it might have some limit on how long it can record, or it might kill your battery really quickly.

random phone called LG Env3, doesn't have any fancy recorders (has 1 but only records like 5 min max lol)

I have an iPod Touch though, not sure if there are apps available or something for recording

You can record with iPod Touch 3rd gen and up.

Don't think there's a limit, but not sure. Try it out, there should be a pre-loaded app called "Voice Recorder" on it already.

yeah I left it on while I was at work, and it's still going :D 9.5 hours so far, SHOULD BE GOOD ENOUGH I THINK

I'm using one called Voice Memos btw (pre-loaded)
