ET:Zombies - Needs You!

ET:Zombies (you can find more info in my recent journals) is getting further in it's development.

We have got a decent team working on the mod, which is actually going to become a total conversion at finished state.

The mod even at an early stage has developed into something I didn't expect it to. With the addition of Nitrox (N!TMOD creator) and help from Gaoesa(Silent Mod), we're getting there.

My question:
What would you like to see in ET:Zombies, explain in as much detail as possible, and things that are important in this mod.

We have now hired a voice actor, who's name is Sparky, you can catch his voice here:


We also have other voice actors for the rank names and such.

Modeller Ischbinz is working on the models even more now!

i would like the zombies to be able to use ranged attacks, like spillig something a lower range than the rifle. it's gonna be very hard to kill an allie only by stabbing or melee considering the speed and quake style :D


and the zombies some truly and scary red eyes which u can see from the fog(if used in any map) or something which can be considered a sign that the zombies are coming :D some screams or smth :D
We will consider this, I was planning on doing this anyway. Right now we're focusing on the solid base code, no bugs all exploits fixed etc... and we've been nice enough to make it feel like ETPRO and coded the anti-warp and prediction methods from scratch so it feels like ETPRO... and hitsounds work now also ;)

Would be nice if there are zombie classes like in left4dead2. A zombie that can have "gas" around him or if you come to near you get hurt. Maybe a zombie that is weaker but can do range attacks like throwing stuff (meat or something) :D

A perk could be nice too. For example if a zombie with rank x get wounded and not gibbed he will be able to stand up again (after 15 sec or something).

some other weapons, like shotguns, molotovs. are you working on skill systems by any chance? like you get a faster shotgun or bigger clips or advanced knock-back?
Yea a skill system will be inside the game. Different weapons are obviously a possibility.

Please think hard about what you would want.

skill system wise or weapon wise?
well a shotgun is a pretty classic weapon no? should be issued to "weaker" classes, so they lack long range ability and constant knock-back but can somewhat defend themselves in close combat against single foes.
for the molotovs, well what does it do? it burns things :P
maybe just make it area damage only but not constantly burn opponents after being hit by it, because otherwise noone will bother going into or have the chance to avoid it.
not sure if it's possible to import weapons such as the lightning gun from quake?(to have low dmg, but slow opponents down like in alien swarm)
a heavy mg obviously, for a more tanky class, supposedly to deal out mass damage, decent knock-back and an aweful long reloading time (just like the mg42, just slightly more accurate from the hip), maybe even as slowing.

survival PvE mode(like killing floor) instead of zombies vs. humans pvp.

temporary invisibility for zombies!
Please explain what usage it would have and where it would/could be implemented?

I don't understand how can't you understand? :d You could sneak to allied players or get closer easier, imagine those moments when you play with friends and how it surprises when a fucking zombie jumps close to you from invisibility :) that screaming

I mean temporary could be for when they spawn, it could be used a special weapon for them, with a charge bar etc...

one time use - 3 seconds invisibility to escape or sneak to victims
no idea if this could be implemented, but i always liked games with stealth enemies, especially in multiplayers

would be awesome to gib a human by biting him at the throat or by doin fuck knows with his guts, like tearin them apart
