Weird PC Problemo!

Hey guys

So, last night I found a movie to stream. After watching like 5mins of it, i got an error about not having enough memory. I checked my C drive and had like 28mb available (Not suprised, last time i checked i had about 3gb, and that was like 2 weeks ago). So, I deleted some porn and have 26gb free. Everytime i try to load google chrome, it wont load/open. Ive tried uninstalling and reinstalling it, but nothing. I was going to do a system restore, but all my restore points have been deleted which is really weird! I cba to format till the weekend when i can get a HDD to save some stuff. Anyone have any real suggestions/help to what the problem might be?

E: Now TS, iRC and ET wont load! HOW AM I SUPPOSED TO NERD WITHOUT MY NERDING TOOLS ON MY DAY OFF!

Update : I just bluescreened! :( Gona format today when i get a hdd from my mate :(

get ccleaner, run the cleaner option.... also check and fix some errors...

well, really weird. Try a system restore, otherwise format, it's the easiest option!

As i said in the post, i cant restore due to it deleting my restore points! :p My mate just said it could be to do with RAM dumping, he had same problem and took his RAM out, put it back in and it worked! Ill try that, but even if it works gona format anyway when i get his hdd, needs a format tbh

could be that too. If u have shitloads of programs running background try something like GBoost to shut down the unnecessary programs

Chrome also runs different tabs on processes which is why I really dont like it (using a 64bit firefox variant at the moment) so it could indeed be RAM related. I used to run chrome and it took up far too much space and although it's true that it is a lot faster I would rather not run bloaty software on my computer.

next time make C: drive for windows only so you can format anytime without problems.

ok so same os & same amount of memory. i can tell you that i had similar problem. i couldn't even install sp1 on it (even the fix from microsoft didn't help). i managed to go through this service pack issue, but the prob with freezing apps remained till format. meanwhile i even switched to 2x2gb for a while - still nothing. i realize (;d) that its not the same, but wanted to share with ya 8D

btw didn't you turn off that restore thingy right after last format, like many people do? are you able to run other stuff like av scan etc? sure that its not related to some porn last nite? hah no am kidding mate, but did you check tomshardware.com forums or whatever you english people use? maybe post some hjackthis log or w/e @ some proper site etc, because most likely you won't find a solution over here 8D

Maybe you still have warranty if it's a hardware problem.
