i download most of my stuff from eztv.it (only thing i regularly dl is series) and i only see inconvinience using some private torrentsite

an infected setup.exe or crack.exe is like 20kb/s bigger than the "original" one. There are public torrents with thousands of downloads / lots of seeders but infect with malware.
Same goes for rapidshare/1-click hoster links. And then you can get also infected by opening a movie e.g. ".mov" or ".mkv" file.
Why you won't have those problems on private trackers? Cause only people with lots of uploaded traffic and a long time mempership will be allowed to insert new torrents. If they decide to upload malware then they are fucked :P
+ what dunzy said.. torrentleech + SCC + what.cd = all songs/movies/apps/games/... you will ever need :P
