fps lagspikes

While playing ET I get fps lagspikes every 5-10 seconds or so.

Why? Need help!

It only affects my FPS, drops down for 125 and my game skips. Its annoying and makes playing impossible!

does dual-core cause the problem, or what should I do?

pc config ? Disable Threaded Optimisation.

pc config should not be the problem, since I've played ET with this one earlier.

as i remember u are good with pc's, ive got one question for u. Do u have any idea that could possibly cause gfx cards (asus gtx 560 ti top) idle temps to rise from 31 @ idle to 41-46 at idle? Ive checked it for dust, ive changed TIM, ive checked the fans. Im running out of ideas :(

Hum, it is not normal, maybe gfx is defective ? You can try to RMA.

that is a recent card

it has 3 stages therefore 3 stage temps

2d normal -> 2d load -> 3d load

what damien said, check your video drivers

also google pbprior and force ET on one core, and punkbuster on the other
