Re-Installing your O/S

Is it possible to re-install your O/S completely to how it was when you get it without using a O/S cd?

Don't know but with Windows 8 that will be possible.
Eeh? But here are instructions to install it with USB, http://www.intowindows.com/how-to-install-windows-7vista-from-usb-drive-detailed-100-working-guide/

And here is a useful site too, http://ninite.com/ get your programs from there, in one neat package.
might be able to find a syspreped version of the factory release. check ur constructor website
Not with Windows at least, if you don't have any backup discs. If you have a prebuilt computer, you usually get supplied with numerous CDs or DVDs that let you do that. It's still better to install Windows from the official CD, though, and it's practically the same thing other than you won't get a crappy OEM version bundled with crappy OEM bloatware.
Windows 8 will have that function integrated.

Right now, you need the discs that were supplied with it when you bought it.
You can use a bootable Ubuntu flash USB and run it on any platform you want. Also you can do a full install with that flash USB if you got internet connection
Modern laptops tend to have a hidden partition for a system restore. Consult your manual for more info.
If it's a laptop listen to Frop or post your system specs here.
I am doing it always via a USB stick.
Just copy your Windows CD installation to you USB Stick!
Plug it in the PC, Go to your boot menu click on your USB & Goodluck!
It's posible from a usb stick, there are use tools to find with google just make sure you got a decent .iso to start from. It worked for me, installed win7 on my netbook.

Basicly it's just format your use drive correct and copy the files from the .iso or cd/dvd.
