nvidia gtx590

Hey,
Trying to play Diablo3 but my nvidia gtx590 just overheats and shuts down (at arround 95°C, fan at 3000rpm) . I guess I'll have to get a watercooling. Any models to suggest?

it should not overheats @ all, if its still on warranty u know what u gotta do
Apparently many people got that problem on forums..

well that's a problem on the gfx which is reported, or concerning the game?
Parent
It's in any game :(
Parent
so it is related with a problem on the gfx card then :(

Just cap the FPS at the video options? Default setting is 150 FPS.
got a 120hz monitor, kinda want to get the max out of it. And lowering to 120 didnt help

Just remove the fan(s) and other casings and use a vacuum cleaner, gentle brush and a compressed air canister to clean it.

I think the cheapest option would be to lower the performance of the card. for example a new gtx 580-ti is known to be already overclocked. Issues were related to overheating and the solution was to lower the performance. Since the gtx 590 is a follower of the card, i don't expect nvidia to change their policy.

And I think, your card is available to display max quality in Diablo 3, even with lower performance.

why no ET? :<
Dont enjoy et as much anymore. How much would a watercooler cost? :(
Parent
ok.

I only said this would be the cheapest option since changing settings is for free. I don't know how much watercooling costs, but once you have it, its pretty effective and silent.

Block prices start at ~100 euro. Then you'd have to get yourself a radiator, a pump, tubes, possibly a fan or two and some other accessories.

There's a new watercooler for GPUs which similiar to the easy-to-install CPU sets which have been on the market for a while now. But I guess they've only made such for a single GPU card for the moment.

Yea, I saw that. Any good quality /price tubes radiator etc you would recommend?
Already got this:

It shouldnt overheat like that, try RMAing it. Also try checking ur thermal paste and replace if its needed
How can I check and replace it?

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=V9ItYqEv8es ignore his r-problem
This DOES NOT void the cards warranty unless stated otherwise by the manufacturer of your card
u might want to check that

lol gtx 590 :d seel it !:d
image: mineral-oil-computer

a tank filled with mineral oil, so totally not gonna overheat
Would get this one!

And i would take 360 radiator from a good brand like Thermochill/Black ICE/XSPC + Scythe Gentle Typhoons fans, Laing MCP350/355 + res, and get some tubes from tygon/masterkleer/feser and some cheap barbs, or compression fittings from bitspower . You should also be able to get your cpu in that loop with a cpu block example EK Supreme HF.

All these things together 450 euro at least.
Wow that much... I found the block for 110 euros but the rest will be that expensive?

You can get cheaper buying second hands.
Did that myself and that saved me about 50%
Alot of people start with watercooling but in the end they think it's too hard, so they sell it.

If your card is overheating like that then there's something wrong with it, buying watercooling isnt a solution as the card is running hot, it could be driver related for all you know, either way watercooling aint the way.
Many users have this problem and I tired updating drivers without any sucess. :(
Parent
Could be a design fault in the card if others are having the same problem, wait and see what happens with drivers and stuff before you waste your money
