Improving tournament formats?

What does HLTV.org's Tomi "lurppis" Kovanen think about tournament formats in modern Counter-Strike? Check out a new proposed group stage format and changes in other stages of the tournament below.

Seedings
-ladder placement/previous tournament placements/...

Groups
-groups according to seedings
-in a group of 4:
highest seeding in group vs lowest seeding in group
2nd highest seeding in group vs 2nd lowest seeding in group
-winners match to determine 1st place of the group
losers match to determine 4th place
-knock out match to determine 2nd and 3rd place (loser winners match vs winner losers match)

Bracket
-first bracket round according to seedings
-2nd bracket round according to seedings
-3rd bracket round according to seedings
-...

loser bracket possible

Map selection
-best of 3:
-lower seed eliminates a map from the mappool
-higher seed eliminates a map from the mappool
-alternate till only 3 maps left
-each team picks a map from the remaining 3 (lower seed first - seeding advantage)
-the one map not picked by any team gets played first
-sides for first map chosen by seed(lower seed, since higher seed kinda chose the map)
-2nd map is the map chosen by the loser of map 1
-sides chosen by winner of previous map
-3rd map (if needed) is the pick of the winner of map 1
-sides chosen by winner of previous map
-best of 1:
-same as best of 3 but alternating the eliminaton till only 1 map remains

an uneven number of maps in the mappool would be favorable (seeding advantage)

alternative map selection

I kinda like the idea. It would force teams to be more stable and reward them for it if the seeding is done right.

edit: added a link to an alternative map selection suggestion in the comments of the original article on hltv.org

rewarding stableness is not good but yeah results should play some factor

And its not like seedings are a big a deal for us, that article is mainly meant for LAN tournaments which can be fairly big and have local teams and in CS generally having huge skillcaps it would help that system and make it less annoying(groupplay/bracketcheating). In ET we already seed teams based on their leagues so basic seeding stuff written there should not be needed.

I like that that map picking order (only if we go to 5 maps!).

Also think that reseeding would be good for playoffs but since we already run (mostly) BO3 LB aswell its not really a big deal. Some randomness causes good matches early on and so on.

And for the groups I think that system is not for ET
