hp dv6 g3030 or something

external keyboard a must have

im not all too familiar with the market atm, but hp-s seem to be pretty decently priced
Asus K53SV:
Intel Core i5 2410M @ 2.30 GHz (2,9 GHz TB)
6 GB DDR3 1333
nVidia GeForce GT 540M 2GB DDR3
WD 500GB
Windows 7 Home

However, I'm playing with an external monitor, keyboard and of course mouse. Basically the laptop is just replacing my old desktop PC with the advantage to be taken away to any place :-P

Cost me 550 Euro last summer.
Looks great and a nice price!
Thanks :)

6GB DDR3. 4GB/8GB DDR3 is faster no dual channel with 3 modules.

I have Medion akoya P681
Intel Core i5-2430M Processor 2,4GHz TB up to 3GHz
8GB DDR3 1333MHz 9-9-9-24
GT 555M 1GB DDR3
750GB Hitachi 5400rpm ( replaced with WD Caviar black 7200 rpm) Will change it later this year to ssd 256GB/512GB
Blu-Ray player
Windows 7 home, replaced with 7 enterprise.

Got it last summer for 550

I've looked into this one as well, still decided against Medion eventhough the specs were better. Have had some bad experience with earlier Medion PCs (not laptops) couple of years ago.

Also the one I have runs on Dual Channel with 6GB according to CPU-Z (a 4GB and a 2GB module).
However the HDD in here is extremely slow as well, does not really bother me too much though. Good enough for a few rounds of ET, PES or Anno :-)

Slow hdd is the most annoying thing tbh. I noticed a big difference when going from 5400rpm to 7200rpm.
And because i am mostly working on system with an ssd in it, i am even more annoyed. Seems that lastest notebook chipsets can run dual channel with mis-matched rams. I got the medion because at that time the Asus you mentioned wasn't around 550 here and the GT 555m is faster than the GT 540m. I am not the biggest medion fan either but a similair laptop with the same specs was around 800 back than. And the 3 year warranty is nice too most laptops only have 2.

How about stable fps in et? I'll begin studies in October so I'm looking for a laptop. I'm going to buy this or
DELL INSPIRON Q15R
Intel Core i5 2430M @ 2.40 GHz up to 3.00 GHz, 3 MB cache
4 GB DDR3 1333
nVidia GeForce GT525M 1GB DDR3
320GB SATA 5400rpm
W7
and it would be good if you told me a few words about yours.

If you want to play games you should get a laptop with Fusion APU if you want to spend around 500
Like this http://www.asus.com/Notebooks/Versatile_Performance/K53TK/#overview
The Asus K53TK-SX023V is around 500 here.

the only game which i play regularly is ET (sometimes The Witcher and The Witcher 2 but i will get bored soon), i have 2500 pln max ~ 570 e

If you get a laptop later this year than it's useless to look around now.
Because ivy bridge will be main stream than and AMD Fusion APU's more as well.
For gaming on a budget laptop AMD Fusion APU's > all
For raw cpu power Intel sb/ib > all

No problems at all.
The Dell you're looking at is almost the same, slightly better CPU, slightly worse GPU. Doubt you'd notice much of a difference. However I haven't really looked into new laptops ever since I bought it, so there could be even better ones out there for less.

till October I have a lot of time to buy laptop so prices will surely be lower :) thanks for opinion
