recover deleted file from sd card

So I had a video on my camcorder that I deleted by accident.. I didn't record anything else after that so I'm sure it has not been overwritten...

Is there any program out there to recover the file?

You'll have no luck.
he doesnt need any since it can be recovered for sure

Recuva and other recovering softwares don't do magic, it's very hard to recover big files, borderline impossible; talk about videos... If it were for a doc file or photos, that would be a different story.

what JamPanda said.. and considering it's a sd card, then it's impossible as far as i know.

But i also found this: http://www.wondershare.com/disk-utility/sd-card-recovery.html dunno...

as I said im sure it has not been overwritten yet

e: it gave me an avi file now that is 31,5 mb big so there has to be some data but neither vlc or media player classic are able to play the file

i downloaded some programm called divfix or something but it says input file is not an .avi file

Well, the thing is (and i might be wrong, can't remember or be arsed to search):
- as far as i know, a sd card is built with memory flash.. it doesn't work like a random hdd with a plate spinning inside. What does it mean? To completely erase a hdd, you need to overwrite everything with 0 or 1 (binary..). - Sd cards have a different way of managing the space etc, thats why you don't need to defragment a sd card. Same happens when you delete a file... it stops existing.

As i said, i might be wrong, but thats how i though sd cards work. Search at google ;)

well I was able to recover some deleted pictures but not the video.. its just no playable but the file is 31 mb big so there has to be some data in it right

try different programs. Download Hiren boot cd, there is few programs for that. U can boot your pc from this cd (it runs on RAM)...
Parent
for what would i need that?
Parent
the cd contains few programs to recover files etc.. And it runs on dos/live windows xp @memory, nothing is written at hdd which means it won't be overwritten :P
Parent
i have recovered shit load of pictures and videos from sd cards with recuva
Parent
thx for the info, always though it wouldn't work at flash cards...
