ive been playing it (on and off) for months now. started a new tekkit3 server a couple days back.
if you need any help dont hestitate to ask me, im quite familiar with most of the invididual mods in the pack.
e: the most important tip for your own sanity's sake: each time a machine starts a sound queue you need to adjust the sound slider slightly. just move it over by one percent and the sound will adjust to the desired level. you can also turn off the immensly annoying rain sound by disabling matmos (F7).
e2: get world-edit and world-guard plugin and disable the creepers. they can cost you hours worth of work.
e3: get some distance in between yourself and the spawn before you setup camp. otherwise people will have to be opped to build (close to spawn). de-op yourself so you can use the 2manyitems search bar without spawning stuff in. if you then just click the thing you want to build on the right (after searching it below the inventory) it will display the recepie, so no need for extreme alt-tabbing for the wikis.
e4: open your mini-map-menue by pressing "." and enable the "death point" function.
e5: the very popular sphax texture pack has tekkit support. can upload the 128x version if u want

i host my server from home.im in ger atm which is bad cause in NL i have static IP. but its okay i have over 1mb/s upload and 16gig ram. id like to play some, ye sure. i can teach u the basics of how to link the mods and stuff. wonna PM me a ts ip or something? if not i got one we can use
