At least now it may become somewhat entertaining. No offense but the UK hasn't produced anything watchable for years, the plot and ideas are there, but the production is just awful. Shameless being a prime example, the US adaption is a thousand times better in comparison.
And yet the same jokes are successful in all of it's adaptions around the world? It's merely your horrible accents and acting that ruin just about any decent idea/plot you guys come up with for TV Shows and Movies.
Nothing wrong with the accents imo. It makes it what it should be. This, show, in particular, may not have yet as big of a fanbase because of all the hating self proclaimed nationalistic British people bashing the shit out of it, but it'll get its target audience and it'll be just as successful if not more as it was in the UK, probably a lot more so even. I would say we have the second best film industry in the world. + About the horrible accents and acting, ever heard of James Bond? I could list many many many great British actors and movies.

I myself am a huge fan of old British classic, having watched all of the original Doctor Who series (Including 2005), Monthy Python, Benny Hill, etc. You name it. I've seen it and Love it.

production perhaps - UK doesnt have the same money behind production as the US does - the audiences it is built for are not even a 10th of the size so that is obvious, surprised you brought it up as its quite pointless.
The UK version of the inbetweeners seemed quite normal and believable - it was OTT for sure. The US Trailer alone just bursts with fakeness - location (read: production sets) actors and actresses - its the normal American crap casting that is in every show. Its an industry based not on talented actors but faces.
