Gooood morning crossnam, how has the day started there? Here it is quite sunny and nice. Expecting few drops of rain in few hours, but that's it.
What are your plans for today, party-hardy?
Some friends and I are going to attend "kaljakellunta" (beer-floating) at the local river. Goal is to drink and sail few kilometers down the river and have a good time. The event is a open summer event where there are no organizators, people just come on a set date. Not even sure who sets it. It is quite a big thing in southern Finland, Vantaa I think, nowadays there are around 5000 participants, but here in Oulu it isn't so popular, maybe 50-100, depending on the weather. Though at least in the south the amount has doubled every year, so we'll see later tonight. Growing bigger every year though. More info: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Beer_floating
Some pictures.
We are going to sail with a swimming pool (actually similar to the one in the second picture), but we are going to knock it up a notch (BANG!) with bbq-set so we can cook and eat while we sail. Will post pictures some time tomorrow / monday / tuesday, unless I drop my phone to the river. Going to take the broken one there so there won't be too much on the stake. Have a good one, join us and if you can't, come to the after party at least!

My plans for today? Well after a 48h hangover and a 11h night, I'm back to normal.
I spent two days in Brussel with three uni friends and I've to say that we crossed the line dozens of time.
Delirium I love you. Snakebites I no longer like you. We even ended up in a gay bar (a challenge we set ourselves a long long time ago but we never took our courage in both hands to do it). Gotta admit that we quickly left it.. but did it!
We also puked on the Grand'Place. Not the first time though. It's kinda like a tradition.
So for today.. nothing. It's raining like "pissing cow" (literal french translation for cats and dogs) and I still have a few big bang theory left. Oh boring day..
Can't quite see what's the challenge in going to a gay-bar, do you think that they are immediately going to hit you or something? Don't worry, they will notice that you are straight, unless you are _toMi.
Of course I'm not afraid of gay people but their bars are not really my thing. Plus it was around 3am when everybody's drunk (I, for myself, was completely out of my mind).
I'd like to add that the problems would surely not come from the gay side of the people. There has been a lot of troubles lately with people kidding gays, then insulting them and finally beating them up..
e: those new avatars arent really an improvement...
I have 3 stands there, two of them from Desperados/Karlsberg.
Thats the closest picture to what we have that I found, I'll upload a picture of the real thing tomorow/monday.
We are selling Desperados, "Radler" (Snowwhite [Beer+sprite]), Pils out of bottles and whitebeer from the barrel.
At the second stand we sell Shettler Cocktails which are in a can, you just fill a cup with ice, shake the can and pour it in, put a straw and a "stick" (that thing to stir, w/e) in, done. (Selling one for 5€)
3rd stand is kind of outsourcing, a mexican guy selling steaks in selfmade bread with selfmade sauce and vegs, fkin delicious but quite expensive (5€) but worth the money.
Busy since Friday 10:00 and will go on till tomorow evening but $$$/€€€ is worth the effort, even tho this year will suck (compared to last year) cuz of the weather
