White ON Black != False

Not being funny but this white on black has seriously deteroriated my attendance to this website, it's a real eye sore and needs to be sorted out, either by an option i havent found yet or by doing the obvious and changing the greyscale slightly, i know it's like a grey-white but it's really so close to white and white on black really hurts my eyes.

+1, that's the only thing I don't like about that design. I think it shouldn't be too hard to change it : )
White on black not equals false?
double negative, it's true isnt it?

Reading books must have been tough on you.
What's a book?

I'm not going to get into how awesome that comment is so I won't dignify it with anything but

Right, I keep forgetting that a display's brightness and contrast is a permanently fixed value. Or you know, you were at the very least in possession of a display that doesn't over saturate as they really haven't been produced anymore within the last, oh I don't know, 10 or so years.

tl;dr Get a backlit display and quit whining.
Parent
Constructive, love it. Thank you for an actual response which formed a conclusion, didnt take much huh? So I take it you're 'for' all this white on black eyecancer?

NO WHINE BRAH JUST MOAR CONTENT/FEEDBACK
Parent
No, I don't like it for there mere reason that it LOOKS horrible. It doesn't annoy me nor pains me to look at however.
Parent
So your long whine-attributed response was for your concern that it hurt my eyes? or just because you're an epic passive-aggressive?
Parent
I prefer narcissistic asshole with sociopathic tendencies and perhaps just a tiny bit of boredom.

I can see we'll get along just fine. o/

Where the hell is the Chrome version? : (
Parent
the same script works for chrome as well, although as chrome seems to be incapable of reading the jQuery in the script, the back-to-top button doesn't work as intended on chrome and I just made a small fix to the script so it would work better on chrome
Parent
I read I need to put something like --enable-greasemonkey and put the file in C://Scripts/file.js

but it doesn't work with me, I'm on win7 x64 :)
Parent
On Firefox, you need to have Greasemonkey add-on installed and after that the add-on handles all the .user.js files.

On Chrome you can install the script without any add-ons.

The file should be located on your HD:

Chrome
C:\Users\yourusername\AppData\Local\Google\Chrome\User Data\Default\Extensions\onehellofalongfoldername\versionnumber\script.js

Firefox
C:\Users\yourusername\AppData\Roaming\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\yourprofilename\gm_scripts\Crossfire_4.0\138527.user.js
Parent
Thank you for the script, my eyes aren't bleeding anymore! Much love.
Parent
it doesn't want to work with my chrome: ( same specifics as mamouth
Parent
that's weird, works fine on my chrome
do you have it listed and enabled on extensions:
Settings -> Extensions (if it's installed correctly, you should see Crossfire 4.0 there)

You can find help for installing user scripts on chrome:

this should be at least sticky
Parent
Dunno what you are talking about.

I see light gray and dark gray...

If it hurts your eyes, fix your screen.. It's kinda okey now since they changed from white to gray

Some people might have bad quality screen or they are not calibrated... it also depends on the position/angle your looking at screen (lcd/tft ones)

Play with your monitor buttons if needed.

"white on black does not equal false"

ok so, you like it? :s
please tell me how you deduce from that, that i like it?
Parent
because if x != false, then x == true.
Parent
yes White ON Black == True but what has that got to do with me liking it or not? =/
Parent
oh, thought you meant "false" as in "i dont like it", where "true" would be "i like it" :p nvm!
Parent
hurr, clarity at last! :D
Parent
ya its the same as watching porn that is black and white. gives me eye sores.
Would that count as a sexually transmitted disease?
Parent
dont really know, maybe we can google this?
