Gaming laptop needed

Hello,

I've just found out that my PC is dead and I think it would be better for me to buy a decent laptop now instead of a new PC cause I'm thinking about moving and a laptop would be better for me at the moment.

So, I'm willing to spend about $800 on a new laptop and I'd like it to be at least decent for gaming, maybe in this price range you could find me a really good one, I don't really have much knowledge on laptops.

Cheers.

Depends on games you want to play, but take a look at Lenovo IdeaPad Y580 models, they are the cheapest that come with decent "gaming" graphic card (GTX660M) + they are build very good.

Got Y570 myself and can't complain

it should run any game that is due to release.. I don't really care if it would run in the best settings.. just run smoothly so it would be playable.. I think that for this price it shouldn't be a problem..

Yea, go for it. As I mentioned I have Y570 which isn't that powerful but I can play for example Dragon Age: Origins on very high flawlessly. Imho best laptop for just $800 :)

I got myself Acer Aspire V3 Olympic Edition recently (yesterday actually), so far so good but apart from ET, I haven't installed any game on it (unfortunatelly, I don't have much time for games).
Seeing that you updated your budget to 800$ (which is around 630e), you might wanna check Lenovo Z580, there is a model with 8GB RAM, i5 3210 IB cpu and nVidia GT630M. There might be some better one specwise tho (well, in GPU department, you hardly get any better CPU or more ram at this price), Lenovo is known for its very solid build.

Getting a big paycheck (about $4,000) in September, prices will go down by then hopefully, thanks for your help tho :-)

well im not playing atm but the NVIDIA GeForce GT 630M 2.0 GB should be enough for most games.
have a look at medion gaming notebooks, they are pretty good with a "fair price".
the case is from msi so those laptops are pretty good, upgrade able also (unlike asus rog).

if you have a nice budget (i cba to check how much $800 is in euro) check at clevo laptop (better than alienware one)
Alienware laptops aren't cheap, but they are really stable and sturdy afaik.

or generally Clevo laptops.
