This seems like a good way to get et more publicity, it may have been tried before but this is a more in depth newer system. Someone just needs to contact the game developers and make a portfolio and get as many people to vote as possible.

What are your thoughts?

everyone who will download it will play on jaymod or etpub server no etpro server or some players will do it. the most of the gamers will play public no serious gaming.

Installing ET and getting everything up and running smoothly is rocket science for beginners, chances are they won't be able to play at all :D

make steam automate it, and set etpro as default game mode

I do think steam would boost ET just dont think it would get enough votes. You could still get ET to work with steam anyway as steam isnt always VAC so it will be pretty simple change over.

ET Pro is a dead scene really more people play for fun these days I noticed as I got older and have less time I am hardly here now to even play officails just to much work and less time. Obviously its not the same for everyone but more people just wanna play the odd fun game and go.

Also I feel the mod is heavliy outdated now and ET just needs something new its not attracting people like it did.

No new faces poping up in etpro well a few yes but not much.

TZAC has been an amazing application though it really has stopped cheaters and its much better to play et pro now.

But yeah ET is Outdated and theres only two mods getting updated really nitmod ( was final release happened now and nitrox went away ) so no more updates for that and jaymod. you get people like silent mod ripping off on like nitmods code and shit but yeah it happens. Id love ET to come popular again tbh just needs advertising really.
