Challenge accepted ! Yay !

12-14 Hours ago - People in Denmark who applied for Universities and stuff, received their answers !

For me it, the answer was so much more then I expected it to be !
I had applied for 3 different studies, all located in Copenhagen.

I was sure I was gonna get my 2nd priority because my first wish was almost impossible, so since I did apply in January I was pretty sure I was going to my 2nd priority as Civil-Engineer in Biotechnologies. My 3rd was EnvironmentTechnologies (Also Civil-Engineer) but it was kinda foolish, didn't even want it tbh.

Anyways at 08.00 I went to check @ Technical University of Denmark if I did get into the Biotechnologies which I expected, but at "Study offers" it kept saying "None" so I was really like "Hm wtf?"

So I received my mail, and there was to my surprice a letter from University of Copenhagen, telling me that they had accepted my apply about my 1st priority, and that I had to confirm it before 6th of August.

So wierd, I've been telling everyone I wouldn't get it.. And then I FUCKING get it ! So unrealistic..

That means from 3rd of September I'm going to study Pharmacy at University of Copenhagen !
Got no words left ! Amazing, I had to share, sorry if it bores you !

CHEERS MATES ! Life is fucking great. Cu @ LAN.

Happy for you :D

hope in the same thing next year
uhh congratz? have fun at a uni :DDD college > uni
dunno if its a difference there between college / uni but here in Canada it is, college = hands on, university = boring on
We do not have anything really called College :P We got primary school -> then you can go to like "Youth educations" which is smt mixed between highschool/college they say and then you can go to University :P or some similar education place.

isn't the difference between uni and college just that university is formed from different colleges? Say you go to study in university, you actually end up studying in one of the uni's colleges.

gratz hf
congratz! enjoy
didnt read
well congrats

still a bit dazzled that why would you choose pharmacy over engineering..

at least in Finland the top level engineering studies are about as hard to get into medschool and pharmacy falls under both of them.

why not apply to medschool instead?

edit: to clarify, in Finland, the studies for a Master of Science in Engineering (M.Sc) are hard to get into. It is easier to get into studies leading to Master of Engineering (ME)

Basically different level studies on the same field, a holder of M.Sc can apply for a PhD in Engineering whereas someone with a degree from ME cannot.
no girls studying engineering :(

Not quite true. :(

chemistry, biotechnology, architecture

There are a couple of engineering studies that are really hard to get into however Molecular Biomedicine is the hardest study to get into, generally everything Medicin-wise is hella hard since you are guaranteed at least 10.000 € as start wage.

However there is a special study including some sort of engineering with a lot of math etc even tho you turn up to be some sort of a high end insurance guy giving you a start wage over 20.000 €.

starting wages in medicine are around 3,500€ in Finland (without extra hours and shit)

and I seriously doubt that 10,000€

according to that it's much less

I am talking about Denmark. Not UK.

Well the engineering is just a title tbh. In Denmark it means that you are educated as a middle-leader, they call everything engineering here, you can get engineer in anything lol :p

But well at the paycheck pharmacia is better according to the numbers at the education site compared to a civil-engineer. So I don't care that much about it :P + After taking the candidate education (last 2 years) you become cand.pharm and then you actually are in position to get "leader" which gives more money normaly :P

And the pharmacia study is harder to get into then the engienering. We have a scale going for -3 to 12 (yea its wierd) and the engineer thing had a minimum on at least 5,4 this year, and the pharmacia I just got offered had 7,5 last year and 7,1 this year - so its a lot harder to get in on. In other cities then Copenhagen, the engineering didnt even have a limit :P just that you reach all the requirements.

I haven't really looked into the ME degree (normal engineer) as I'm studying to become (one day) a M.Sc engineer. The starting wages from where I graduate will be around 2,900 per month (the union's suggestion for graduates is 3,200 but I'm quite sure that hardly anybody gets that). Anyhow, the average pay of all M.Sc engineers is 4,500 and of pharmacists is 2,800. Starting wages in pharmacy is about 2,300.
Parent
Lol not at all here :P A new educated pharmacist with a job in the private medicial industry will get a starte wage of 5.700 euros :p a bit lower for a public pharmacist.

Engineers get a start payment of 4500 euros here :)
